Responsibilities: Serves as a member of the Career Services team to assist employers and Rose-Hulman students with the placement goals of the department ; attends, assists and leads as directed by the Associate Director on campus department functions (job fairs, student workshops, etc.); assists with marketing of Rose-Hulman, Career Services and students/alumni for employment opportunities (travel may be required); assists in expanding the employer portfolio by researching and calling on organizations for Career Services that lead to internships, co-ops and full- time opportunities for Rose-Hulman students and alumni; follows-up on new employer leads that are received through Career Link, Banner, constituents of RHIT, etc.; maintains and further develops relationships with organizations through outreach in an effort to support the mission of Corporate Engagement; organizes and attends company networking and recruiting events to form partnering relations with Career Services; assists students and alumni with resume writing, interview skills and job search techniques; posts job opportunities for students & alumni; serves as Primary Manager for assisting alumni and the remaining May graduates with their job search; responsible for tracking and working with a select group of graduating seniors for end of year reporting; assists with execution of the Cookout on the Quad, Career Fairs, and Career Fair Boot Camps for students and alumni; submits monthly reports of all activities to the Associate Director.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; knowledge/experience in career services, admissions, human resources, student affairs or technical recruiting preferred; demonstrated public speaking and presentation ability; customer service oriented with ability to counsel students in various career development components; caring and understanding attitude toward students to assist students individually and in groups with career decision-making and job-hunting skills, helping students understand and market their education and experiences, and has a commitment to the mission of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology; self-motivated; detailed and goal oriented; success driven; organized and flexible in approaching and accomplishing tasks.
