Union University seeks a qualified individual for the position of Employer Relations and Recruitment Manager.

The Employer Relations and Recruitment Manager (ERRM) works with the Director of the Vocatio Center for Life Calling and Career and Vocatio team “to help students understand more clearly who God has uniquely created them to be and to assist them in discovering opportunities to live out their life calling in service to God and to others.” The ERRM is responsible for cultivating relationship with faculty, employers, and alumni toward the end of securing internships, full-time and part-time career opportunities (domestically and international), and mentorships while maintaining excellent reporting with the goal to serve and coach students toward proper stewardship of self and meaningful opportunities of service.
Actively recruit new employers while maintaining relationship with existing employer partnerships through regular communication and visits
Actively pursue new full time, part time, internship, and shadowing opportunities
Market Corporate Sponsorship opportunities and execute billing/payment processes; maintain accurate revenue expenditure reporting
Act as coordinator for Backpack to Briefcase, UUConnect Opportunities, and College to Career Expo planning, and on-campus recruitment organization, registration, and hosting
Faculty and Alumni Relations
Engage faculty in effort to identify new employers and opportunities for students
Coordinate with faculty to plan and present workshops
Work to develop department/school specific events designed to cultivate connections between respective students, employers, and alumni
Regularly meet with students to provide career coaching, resume critiques, grad school prep, and mock interview help
Connect students with mentors in their desired fields
Collect First-Destination Survey (FDS) Data and compile FDS Report
Compile information on job postings, employer activity, and student/employer relationships
Enter and track data on students the UUConnect database and conduct monthly reporting
Manage the UUConnect System, especially employment postings and recruiter contacts
Update & Maintain the Internships Database & UUConnect
Data entry of internships, and part-time, full-time job postings
Serve as an ambassador of the Vocatio Center
Contact Student Leaders via email and social media to encourage participation in major Vocatio Center events/recruitment
College to Career Expo
Backpack to Briefcase
On-campus Recruitment & other Networking and Grad School Events as scheduled
Develop electronic marketing pieces as needed
Keep students informed of opportunities (via marketing email communiques, setting up marketing table, developing internship highlights for weekly e-nnouncements/Student Life highlights)
Market life calling and career recruitment events to students and faculty /staff
Market informal and formal interview opportunities
Highlight positions and employers to students and faculty
Ongoing mentoring of students
Utilize campus database and software programs
Any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Vocatio Center for Life Calling and Career
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Master's degree in higher education administration, college student affairs, college student development, business or related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Prior work experience in business, student leadership, Christian mentoring, life calling and career, higher education and/or other like experience is also preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diversity of students, faculty, staff, employers and community members.
