Position Description: The Associate Director for Employer Relations, supervised by the Director of Alumni Engagement, will manage the creation and implementation of the employer relations policies and processes to identify and source internship and full-time employment opportunities for a wide range of student interests.
Manage the portfolio of employer relationships through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship via regular and consistent contact via phone, email, and in-person visits.
Research employment/hiring trends to develop policies and to develop targeted lists of employers in the region.
Manage employers with regard to the most effective means of identifying potential job candidates to meet employer needs including on campus recruitment, job and internships postings, career events, and exposure on campus.
Set policies related to employer marketing, hiring timelines, recruitment policies and expectations for event participation and engagement with students.
Provide timely and effective responses (telephone, direct mail, and email) to all employer inquiries.
Direct employer outreach efforts and track and evaluate employer outcomes
Direct the participation of employers in strategic events on and off campus
Manage employer relations technology to direct employer engagement:
Set policy and procedure to ensure all opportunities are accurately posted in the career management system in a timely manner implementing approval criteria when reviewing employer registrations and postings for legitimacy, alumni connections, accuracy, and relevance
Oversee employer data integrity to include, but not limited to, employer contact reports, services utilized, recruitment activities, job and internship offers, and participation and satisfaction surveys.
Create and implement marketing policies and plans to disseminate employers and employment and internship opportunities to students, faculty, staff, alumni and families.
Oversee employer access and restrictions consistent with university policies and resolve employer issues.
Oversee the creation of quarterly employer relations data and outcomes reports.
Full time permanent position beginning approximately, November 2018. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position will require regular travel and the ability to work weekend hours periodically as directed. Salary is determined per union contract (SUA 2, Step 1 - $48,118); excellent benefit package.

Bachelor's degree required.
Experience with developing policy and procedure to achieve strategic priorities.
A minimum of 3 years experience in higher education, human resources, career services, or recruiting in a team based environment.
Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process.

Ability to collect, analyze and report relevant data to inform decision making and workflow process and policy development.
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build professional relationships and work collaboratively with diverse individuals.
