The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business is comprised of the university’s three accredited business schools: The Hotel School, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business Career Management Center provides services to the more than 1,800 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Dyson School, the School of Hotel Administration, and Johnson Graduate School of Management. The team of professionals associated with this center create and deliver innovative career education and professional development programming for these accredited business programs. In addition to career development initiatives, the center serves as a conduit for employers to connect with this talented group of young professionals.
The College’s Career Management Center currently seeks two career service professionals to serve as school leads for the Dyson School and the School of Hotel Administration. Each Director will, under the leadership of the Assistant Dean of Career Management for the College, lead all aspects of the career management function for their respective school. High-level responsibilities include career management education and advising, employer relations and recruitment programming, management of the small career services team dedicated to their respective school, and data management and statistical reporting. The Directors will be expected to partner with colleagues in the College of Business’ External Relations team to lead all aspects of the career management function, including career management education and advising, the on-campus recruiting program & job postings, and employer relations. Provide career advising and programming for undergraduate and MPS students; long-term career development as well as immediate job search objectives including full-time and summer employment. Partner with CCB external relations in developing and executing strategies and policies for corporate outreach, and delivering programs and services to students and employers. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, employers, faculty, alumni and other career offices on campus.
