This is a strategic leadership role. Reporting to the COO, the Executive Director of Enrollment & Student Success is the chief student-personnel officer of the School and will advise the Office of the Dean on all matters pertaining to non-academic student life. The Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership and general management and for setting the strategy of the units in the student success departments/teams.
To provide leadership and direction to colleagues within the Enrollment and Careers Departments and to provide a first class experience to the students of Thunderbird.
The role will encompass the following responsibilities:
Enrollment Management: Student Recruitment and Admissions, developing recruitment marketing activities including lead generation strategies, and partnering with the Branding & Communications team to create recruitment collateral and messaging.
Student Life Activities: Overseeing Event & Student conferences, co-curricular involvement, Leadership Development, Student Organizations and New Student Foundations/Orientation.
Student Academic Advising & Professional Development: Oversight & support of the Career Management Center, Career Coaching/ Counselling, Internal and External Internship Coordination, Career Fairs, Employer Recruitment Events/Virtual & Campus, Student and alumni employment Assistance, Career Readiness curriculum & workshops, Data collection & Reporting, Academic Advising.

Experience with the development, modification, and/or management of automated data systems
The ability to solve problems commonly found within a higher education environment
Proficiency in organizing and managing complex functions

A demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse environment
Experience of managing budgets
Experience: Twelve plus years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education, preferably in enrolment management, career management, and/or student affairs is required.
