The position of Global Corporate Engagement will provide strategic oversight and proactively manage mission-critical employer relationships to increase non-U.S. employment opportunities for 200+ Wake Forest University School of Business (WFUSB) students. To accomplish this goal, this person will work closely with multiple areas including: Alumni Engagement, MRE/Employer Relations, Advancement, Enrollment Management, Integrative Student Services, and International Student Association and engage a diverse set of stakeholders including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the Board of Visitors.
In working with and through these internal groups, the person will be responsible for identifying domestic companies who will sponsor our graduates, and also establish relationships abroad for students not choosing to stay domestically upon graduation. The objective is that the successful employment outcomes of the international student population will be a competitive advantage of programs and match established goal for all graduates. The key result will be the successful employment outcome rates of international students (both in and out of the U.S.). The successful candidate will serve predominantly in an external facing capacity.
Develop and cultivate new multifaceted relationships with employers that align with student career interests, future employment trends, and WFSB’s academic strengths
Establish and manage a global network of hundreds of WFUSB students, parents, recruiters and alumni to help international students connect with opportunities in their home country
In collaboration with Alumni Engagement, identify high-profile Wake alumni who reside internationally and design a collaborative engagement strategy
Develop protocols to conduct, track and report successful account management; compile and share data regarding outreach efforts and overall impact on employment outcomes; communicate this information to internal and external stakeholders periodically
Understand the domestic and international employment landscape; serve as an internal thought leader regarding employment trends and provide the WFUSB community with information regarding major trends and key insights into the international employment market
Maintain relationships with companies willing to sponsor from resources such as Handshake, MyVisaJobs, GoinGlobal, EFMD databases and communicate those opportunities directly to students.
Further establish more virtual programming via CareerEco (i.e. virtual fairs) for students to engage with recruiters in their home country by working collaboratively with alumni.
Provide high-quality account management for a strategic subset of US-based employers who sponsor international students; expand recruiting efforts and establish deeper relationships to ensure longevity of key relationships; develop a focused US-based business development strategy to target specific regions and/or industries to maximize opportunities for our international students
Partner with third-party staffing agencies who have short-term contract positions for larger-name firms who are open to filling roles for clients with graduates having appropriate work visas.
Participate in strategic projects relevant to these major employers to ensure high-quality account management and continuity (e.g., case competitions, employer site visits, etc.).
Survey international students three times per year to obtain desired post-graduation plans
Explore a post-graduation fellowship program.
Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience establishing and nurturing relationships with international businesses and students
Demonstrated competence working with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and records in accordance with state and federal laws and professional ethics; ability to manage and distribute information appropriately.
Understanding of the visa process
Excellent self-leadership, project management, time-management, written and verbal skills.
Comfortable and experienced international traveler.
Significant prior B2B sales, development and management experience in domestic and international employment landscapes and knowledge of account management.
Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

**Term: This is a one-year contract role. Continuation beyond one-year is contingent upon funding for future needs and goal achievement.**
