The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Coordinator, Student Professional and Industry Experience.
The Coordinator, Student Professional and Industry Experience expands connections between employers and students, including increasing undergraduate student engagement with recruitment tools and events and working with employers to generate skill development, discovery, and internship opportunities for UNR students. The coordinator focuses on programming for first year students, linking their academic working to career exploration through industry connections. The coordinator implements, creatively advertises, markets and assesses programs and activities designed to assist students in identifying employment interests and opportunities within the context of the global economy, focusing on underclassmen engagement. The incumbent is technology-savvy and focused on expanding the use of and student engagement with university job search technology.
The coordinator will cultivate relationships with employers to generate career employment and internship opportunities for UNR students, as well as coordinate employer panels, career fairs, and professional experience programs on and off campus as needed. The position is engaged in continuous assessment of student outcomes to ensure effectiveness of professional experience programming. This position is supervised by the Associate Director, Nevada Career Studio, in the area of Employer Relations and Internships. The Nevada Career Studio is committed to innovative, tech-forward programming; increasing student opportunities for experience through extracurricular engagement, internships, and other professional activities; and developing career partnerships with alumni, faculty, employers, and the community.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience (recruiting, career education/development, higher education administration or related field) or Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.
