Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Admissions will serve as one of the key administrators of Slate, the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system used in the recruitment and admission of prospective students to F&ES. The position is responsible for recruitment, events and application review, with a special focus in the oversight of the entire communications function of the office; developing, managing, and implementing a comprehensive, multi-channel, segmented recruitment plan to include direct mail, email, social media, web, phone, and text. The incumbent will leverage the functionality in Slate for outreach, reporting and analysis of all communications efforts. Vacation time may be taken by special permission only during the period of December 15 and April 1st.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field plus three to four years of related experience in admissions, registration, placement, financial aid, student counseling or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Superior demonstrated written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in public presentation, and the ability to craft and articulate messages for a variety of audiences.
Strong and demonstrated knowledge of developing and implementing successful admissions and event strategies.
Excellent analytical skills and creative self-direction. Exceptional administrative, planning, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to represent the school well and work collegiality with peers and colleagues within and outside the University. Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong computer skills, and ability using data management systems. Ability to be available during events and occasional evening and weekend work.
Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s degree in higher education administration, counseling, or the environment; proven familiarity with environmental issues; experience conducting data analysis, planning and implementing events, and development of marketing materials. Proficiency in basic data management system (preferably Slate).
