Regional Students Services: Regional Assistant Director of Employer Relations (FT 12 month position at Miami University's Regional Campuses - Hamilton and Middletown) to strategically cultivate and strengthen corporate relations with and between employers, students, alumni, and faculty to effectively deliver comprehensive employer development services.
Strategically identify and build relationships with local, state, and regional employers for recruitment of students and alumni for internships and full-time career opportunities
Advise employers on marketing strategies that will help them build their brands on campus and increase loyalty to Miami University
Foster employer relationships between employers and academic divisions of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science, to increase internship and full-time career employment opportunities for all students
Serve as Instructor of Record for internship course offered through Career Services, and advise students enrolled in course
Advise students with job search readiness skills as they prepare to engage in their job search
Facilitate student and employer connections via Handshake, career fairs, employer campus interviews, employer site visits, etc.
Participate in hiring and supervising the Employer Relations staff; plan and facilitate annual career fairs, and on-campus employer recruitment activities
Market, facilitate, and train users for the Handshake software platform
Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of data regarding recruiting activities, internship activities, and salaries earned
Participate actively in various local, state, regional, and national organizations to increase employment opportunities for students and alumni
Collaborate with the Regionals’ Communication & Marketing team to design and develop marketing material to employers, including website content, by composing and coordinating timing of communications to employers
Provide strategic planning and goal setting for employer relations, and prepare semester and annual reports
Collaborate with the Oxford Center for Career Exploration & Success Employer Relations team and attend staff meetings when possible
Attend Career Services team meetings, participate in professional development activities, and represent Career Services on campus and in the community as needed
Assist in large Career Services projects

Require: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, workforce education, business, communications, marketing/sales, psychology, or a related discipline; two years of experience in human resources, recruitment, talent management, community or nonprofit management, university career services, or a related field; experience with college recruiting, from a higher education or a business perspective. The position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
Desire: Master’s degree in human resources, workforce education, business, psychology, or a related discipline; experience in marketing, negotiation, and strategic planning; knowledge of current employment trends, employer branding strategies, and targeted recruitment principles, procedures and resources; evidence of multi-faceted customer services skill set including organization, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications, presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; proficient with MS Office suite and/or Google Suite.
