Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Admissions, Events & Recruitment will serve as one of the key administrators of Slate, the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system used in the recruitment and admission of prospective students to F&ES. At the discretion of the Director, this position will plan and coordinate on and off campus recruiting sessions and events. Extensive international and domestic travel will be required to help meet growth and visibility goals. Management of the campus visit program, on-campus open houses and events will also be a key responsibility of this role. This will include the creation of events in Slate, the F&ES events website as well the coordination of event follow ups and electronic surveys.
The role will also assist with the management of the admissions listserv via Slate Inbox tool: firstname.lastname@example.org as well as the management of recruitment inventory, including all marketing materials, giveaways, informational postcards, etc. Will co-lead in the hiring, training and oversight of Admissions Ambassadors and Financial Aid Work Study student assistants as well as Admission Ambassador social media submissions, uploads and posts.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field plus a minimum of three years of related experience in admissions, registration, placement, financial aid, student counseling or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Superior demonstrated written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in public presentation, and the ability to craft and articulate messages for a variety of audiences.
Proficiency in basic data management system (preferably Slate).
Strong and demonstrated knowledge of developing and implementing successful admissions and event strategies.
Excellent analytical skills and creative self-direction. Exceptional administrative, planning, organizational and project management skills. Ability to represent the school well and work collegially with peers and colleagues within and outside the University. Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong computer skills and experience using data management systems. Ability to be available during events and occasional evening and weekend work. Vacation time may be taken by special permission only during the period of December 15th and April 1st.
Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s degree in higher education administration, counseling or the environment; proven familiarity with environmental issues; experience conducting data analysis, planning and implementing events and development of marketing materials.
