The Program Manager for Culverhouse Connections is responsible for working in conjunction with the Director of Career Management at Culverhouse and the Director of Professional Development and Engagement to plan, develop, and execute on strategic initiatives and programming related to career and professional development for the Culverhouse College of Business. Programs and responsibilities under the purview of this position and the Culverhouse Connections program relate broadly to both career and professional development and represent programming critical for student career success and the UA Business LEAD Professional Development and Engagement Program. Programs, activities, and duties include (a) individual and group career advising and seminars including Career Week, (b) serve as the Career Center at Culverhouse point person for UA Business LEAD and effectively develop and execute programs that feed into the LEAD program including the Professional Development Series, corporate visits, and internships, (c) plan and execute to sustain and grow the Culverhouse College of Business Mentor Program to enable it to make it accessible to all Culverhouse College of Business students in a variety of formats, (d) work with industry and alumni to expand career and professional development opportunities and programs available through Culverhouse Connections, (e) oversee the planning and implementation of all events, lectures, and executive visits delivered through Culverhouse Connections, (f) providing oversight and supervision to relevant student staff and the Culverhouse Connections Student Leadership Board to execute events, visits and programs at a level of high quality and professionalism, (g) coordinate with key units and leadership in strategic planning and execution around continuously expanding the quantity and quality of programming available through Culverhouse Connections in line with the broad student development goals and vision and needs of the Career Center at Culverhouse, UA Business LEAD, and Culverhouse College of Business, (h) effectively communicate regarding the program to enhance student and corporate engagement, and (i) occasional travel as necessary.
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience, OR a Master's degree and some experience.
Must be able to work outside of normal business hours. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
