Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Executive Director of Industry Relations and Career Services is responsible for implementing the strategic direction for the unit of Career Management. The Executive Director plays a key role in ensuring that students have the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, and that career pathways prepare students for professional success. The Executive Director provides management of relationship pursuit and creation, as well as oversight, for relationships with institutional and corporate partners that drive and enable the realization of student enrollment objectives for the School. The Executive Director is responsible for concretely informing ROI for SPS students and industry partners.
In addition, the Executive Director will ensure that all service delivery teams are organized to have the necessary cross-functional resources to support the service of institutional and corporate partners as clients.
Manage all employer relations and partnership management functions for the Office of Career Management through the development of targeted institutional and corporate relationships and the ongoing management and optimization of these relationships
Increase the number and quality of employer relationships, while cultivating new relationships.
Collaborate with the AD of Student Affairs to develop policies, procedures, and protocols for employer relations and align outreach strategy and tactics with organizational strategy
Conceive, design, and oversee the creation of partnership opportunities and engagement strategies across all partner types to drive student enrollments for the school
Develop reporting to measure the outcomes and effectiveness of employer relations strategies and tactics
Develop, implement, and maintain robust employer relation and initiative management processes, policies, documents and planning models
Manage the client service delivery teams within partner management to ensure quality and consistency across all partnerships
Manage School recruiting strategy and pipeline management; internship programs; talent
Oversee the entire partner portfolio (corporate, institutional) and manage engagement
Collaborate with School stakeholders to manage the partnership requirements
Manage the development of industry requirements and manages partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding with the ED of Administration
Oversee the service level agreement creation process
Track the performance of the school to the service level agreements entered into with partners
Collaborate with other functional areas (including enrollment management and program operations) to ensure seamless experiences for partner organizations
Manage the industry outreach, and secure opportunities
Oversee the management of a pursuit and opportunity tracker
Prioritize and grade corporate partnership opportunities for potential size, and likelihood of success
Collaborate with stakeholders to engage their corporate networks for opportunities
Collaborate with the SPS Business development team to design partnership options and to create proposals and pitch materials for partnership meetings
Collaborate with Marketing and organizational leadership to develop and execute partner pursuit strategies
Identify funding sources for strategic priorities that require external funding
General Institutional Relations
Designs assessment strategies in line with eth Higher Education Act and Industry benchmarks
Collaborate with the Institutional Relations teams to identify target lists of foundations, non-profits, charitable organizations/trusts, schools, and other non-profit institutions for potential partnerships
Work with the Institutional Relations teams to conceive and design partnership and engagement opportunities
Attend and help conduct partner pitch meetings
Oversee the engagement and pursuit process
Performs other duties and projects, as necessary.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.

Master’s degree in student affairs, student development, or another tertiary educational administration field.
Experience with student and/or alumni affairs in higher educational setting.
Proven ability to plan and successfully execute events.
Experience with working college students is preferred in one or more of the following areas: academic advising, curriculum planning and college teaching; supporting and advising graduate students; program planning; general student affairs administration within a diverse campus in an urban setting.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills, and the ability to perform non-routine work with changing priorities
Significant experience with the Office Suite of programs and features (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, and data visualization)
Proven consultative and client service approach to solving business problems and addressing new opportunities
