The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Director of Career Services (R0001315). The Director of Career Services' primary goal of this position is to implement opportunities for connections between students, employers, and faculty to focus on career development, preparation, and placement. The Director will champion the effort to scale and integrate career development into the culture of the campus, with the career services center serving as an activator for a robust career ecosystem for students from all colleges and majors. This will include integrating into existing college-based and campus-wide initiatives, developing new opportunities to forge strategic partnerships, and coordinating relationships with current and new employer partners. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree. Full-time professional experience with increasing leadership responsibilities in career development, academic advising, employer relations, and/or other relevant experience. Experience supervising full-time professional staff. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and meeting the diverse needs of a college student population.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have proven leadership and management skills. Demonstrated interest in “The Future of Work,” in rapidly changing employment trends and understanding of emerging trends and innovations within the field of higher education. Team-building skills and experience collaborating and cooperating across constituencies. Demonstrated experience with setting strategic team goals, creating meaningful performance indicators, and using data to inform continuous improvement. Evidence of ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, faculty, employers, and the university community.
