The College of Engineering undergraduate academic affairs unit is a dynamic team committed to providing outstanding, equitable and inclusive student services to the college's 4,500 undergraduate students. Embracing a holistic approach, the unit includes academic advising, tutoring, career services, student leadership, scholarships and student wellness.
Engineering Career Services is a small, but highly experienced and dedicated team focused on serving all students in the College and our alumni. While this role requires being a generalist on the team, the focus of the Career Exploration Specialist is on programming and advising for early-career undergraduates and creating a coordinated approach to undergraduate research experiences.

MS required, preferably in higher education related field or engineering.
- 2 years working in higher education, preferably in career development or 2 years as a practicing engineer. - Experience presenting and facilitating workshops and programs. - Demonstrated knowledge of student development concepts, theories, and issues pertaining to college students. - Demonstrated awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant, and productive ways. - A high degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness in workings with students from first generation, underrepresented, transfer, and other targeted populations. - Experience working effectively in teams and independently. - Strong attention to detail and follow-through. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
