UChicago Career Advancement is hiring for a new role on our dynamic, fast-paced team to support students interested in science and engineering career paths. The candidate must have the ability to execute projects on tight timelines, manage up, and possess an eagerness to take on new tasks. If you have a passion for writing, program development, and relationship management, this is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with students and make an incredible impact. The Assistant Director will:
Utilize strong writing skills to craft strategic communications, provide content for proposals, and develop written resources for students
Design programming for students, foster employer partnerships to create internship opportunities based on STEM-related market trends, and work with students one-on-one to prepare them for cutting-edge careers in innovative areas.
Support student career growth in science and engineering fields through one-on-one advising, workshops, and experiential programs.
Design and lead experiential learning opportunities for students from a wide variety of liberal arts majors and backgrounds including the physical and biological sciences, psychology and neuroscience, computation fields, and engineering.
Engage directly with employers in the STEM fields interested in recruiting UChicago students, building strong employer relationships, managing an employer portfolio, and planning employer engagement events.
