The Associate Director serves as a member of the Center’s Executive Leadership team with a portfolio centered on administration and operations. The position specifically oversees functions related to operational support, marketing, information management and systems, IT, and HR at The Career Center. It also provides administrative guidance and leadership for the Testing Center, a stand-alone unit that reports through The Career Center. The Associate Director will contribute to all major decisions in both units and assists with strategic visioning, planning and prioritization; managing budgets, personnel, and operations; developing strategic partnerships and projects; and assessing and reporting outcomes. 

Leadership and Supervision (50%)

• Serve as a member of the executive leadership team to lead strategic planning processes, establish goals, and develop action plans for The Career Center and Testing Center
• Lead the following teams: Marketing, Information Management, and Testing Center, including direct supervision of team leads and support the supervision of indirect reports and paraprofessionals
• Oversee and provide strategic leadership for the following administrative areas: Information Technology, Human Resources, and Operational Support
• Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of unit policies, operational processes, and budget management
• Guide initiatives, policies, and action of the broader career services/testing community on campus as a contributing member of the Career Services Council and associated committees, task groups, and knowledge communities, as well as the Testing Consortium 

Information Systems and Technology (25%)

• Oversee the development, coordination, and implementation of projects and systems to support delivery of innovative services and programs for The Career Center and Testing Center
• Provide guidance and leadership for the administration of information management systems, including Schedule Q, The Career Center’s client management and scheduling system, and Handshake, the career services management platform used across the career services community
• Plan, deploy, and implement policy for use of technology and tools that drive collaboration, access to information, and effective communication across functional teams and within a hybrid work environment
• Serve as liaison to IT-shared services for management of hardware, centrally supported software, and other IT-related services 

Operations and Human Resources (25%)

• Coordinate operational support to ensure efficient and effective management of business functions, operations, and logistics for the units
• Oversee process for recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, and off-boarding of staff, ensuring alignment with campus policies and procedures
• Oversee performance evaluation process
• Prepare mid-year and annual reports for The Career Center and Testing Center, as well as oversee process for completion of team reports, individual summaries of accomplishments, and program impact reports
• Coordinate and prepare submission of award nominations

Required Experience:

• Six years of professional work experience that includes progressive leadership, management, or administrative responsibilities
• Experience leading initiatives and managing programs and services 
• Experience supervising staff
