The Associate Director for Employer Engagement serves as the university's primary contact for employers and leads the career center's employer outreach team. The associate director will also provide a centralized and strategic vision, connecting new and existing employers across our multifaceted institution. The position provides leadership to and supervises three full-time staff — two coordinators and an administrative assistant. The team is responsible for implementing a range of programs and services including career and graduate school fairs, job and internship postings, student employment support, a shadow program, and employer networking and engagement events.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Full-time experience in corporate recruiting or university/career services.
• Experience with planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating large scale programs or events.
• Prior managerial and supervisor experience.
• Prior experience developing and implementing successful client-customer relationship management initiatives, especially with employers and business leaders.

Preferred:

• Master’s or other advanced degree in higher education, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
• Full-time experience in university employer relations.
• Familiarity with employer needs, opportunities, and challenges in relation to university recruiting.
• Experience developing program assessments and student learning outcomes.
• Prior use of university career center management platforms (e.g. Handshake).
• Strong organizational skills, ability to define tasks, prioritize assignments, and follow through on projects independently
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Use of technology in a work office environment
