DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM: Loyola University New Orleans College of Business seeks an Associate Director for its Business Portfolio Career Development Program (Portfolio), a four-year student-centered professional development program required for undergraduate business students. The program has a 97% satisfaction rate with our graduating seniors and is entering its 11th year. The College of Business offers seven business majors and has over 400 undergraduates enrolled with additional students pursuing our online management degree. This position will work closely with the Portfolio Director/Associate Dean and staff, as well as collaborate with College of Business faculty and staff and Loyola’s Career Development Center. This is a full-time professional staff position with full benefit coverage, including membership in NACE and SOACE, available August 3, 2020.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Develop a plan to research and identify new opportunities for undergrad internship and career hiring with local, regional, national employers and college alums; develop and maintain employer relationships including recruiters; target market opportunities to students; conduct workshops, resume reviews and mock interviews; participate in freshmen advising, maintain annual program plan and make adjustments as needed to react to market trends; work with students on internship and job search plans; oversee Executive Mentor Program including mentor recruitment, development and programming; oversee required internship program; develop and implement networking events to connect students to employers; utilize data to make program decisions; allocate budget spending; oversee day-to-day operations of office; other assigned duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required, Student Affairs, Higher Education or MBA
strongly preferred; related field considered; significant demonstrated experience in employer development and/or employee recruitment experience, career coaching/academic advising, event programming, and workshop delivery; minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience including administrative/supervisory responsibility; excellent oral/presentation and written communication skills; ability to develop and maintain positive and productive
relationships with a wide range of internal and external constituents, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, university departments and employers; Skilled use in Linked In, and other job resources.
