This full-time, 12-month, position oversees the SBE internship program and reports to the Dean of the School of Business and Economics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, identifying, developing, marketing, monitoring, and connecting students with opportunities. Growing and sustaining internship opportunities with the goal of improving the quality of our internships and number of participants (sites and students) is also expected. The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with industry partners, faculty, staff, and students. Other notable duties include helping identify career opportunities for business students and organizing a SBE Internship and Career Fair each fall semester. The School of Business and Economics (SBE) is internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We offer students a broad-based education with a global perspective and an emphasis on experiential learning. Bachelor’s degree in any business discipline, career counseling, or a closely related field
One (1) year minimum of business/professional experience
Proficiency in Excel with the ability to collect, maintain, and analyze data
Experience with internship/career tools, such as Handshake and LinkedIn, and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate with a diverse set of students, faculty, staff, and administration
Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders
